HSA-3 Playground

FNA coordinated with NYCT authority and obtained existing documents and drawings from their archive to support the completion of the HSA-3 Playground project .The playground features an athletic turf field, basketball courts, a kickball field, play equipment, game tables, an amphitheater, a garden area with boulder seating, shade trees, and benches. It includes green infrastructure elements designed to reduce stormwater runoff, including a turf field for stormwater absorption, trees, pervious pavers, and other features capturing over one million gallons of rainwater annually. The project supports the Vital Brooklyn initiative, transforming schoolyards into community spaces benefiting residents and improving environmental resilience.
